Foundation Learning Courses

CSV Foundation Learning courses help young people aged 16 to 19 make the step into regular employment, further education or onto an Apprenticeship programme.

Young learner, holding a drill, working hard getting practical skills in construction

The programme is perfect for young people who have left school but need to brush up on their basic skills. Where young people are interested in developing practical skills and looking to move on to an Apprenticeship programme or into employment, we provide one to one support, guidance and ‘moving on’ sessions.

Learners can join the Foundation Learning programme at any time during the year, and attend the programme from between 16 and 30 hours per week.

We deliver literacy, numeracy and ICT training, work experience placements and vocational training, and help people work toward nationally accredited qualifications in areas like construction, childcare, media, business administration and catering.
