The UK's leading volunteering and training charity.
11th Sept. 2009
2011 will be European Year of Volunteering and members of the public are being invited to design a logo and slogan to represent the year.
The EU-wide "Let's Slogo!" competition has been launched by 21 volunteering networks, including CSV on the website www.eyv2011.eu.
The European Commission has invited civil society organisations to run the competition for an official logo and slogan for the European year of volunteering. The Alliance, who will be running the competition, is calling on creative EU citizens to help shape the visual identity of the 2011 volunteering year, when the European Commission will use the winning designs in all its communication activities.
The logos and slogans will be pre-selected and sent to an official jury. The judging panel will be made up of the general public and volunteers, and a jury composed of volunteers, active in the 21 networks, will be able to vote online for their favourite entries.
